Airport Information
San Jose Airport
The San Jose
International Airport (SJC) is the closest airport to our Convention.
SJC serves Alaska, American, Delta, Hawaiian, JetBlue, Southwest, United,
US Airways, and Virgin America. It is a hub for Southwest and the best
deals can often be found with this airline if you're on that route.
The hotel does not have an airport shuttle, however, CBS will do our own
regular pick-up and drop-offs at the San Jose International Airport. Please
let us know when you book your flights when you'll be coming in and which
airline, and we will coordinate the schedule. Contact our CBS/airport
liaison,
Nelson Snook.
Taxi fare from SJC to the hotel is approximately $20-25 and 10 minutes.
If you plan on renting a car, parking at the Embassy Suites is free.
More information on transportation and direction can be found on
the hotel page.
San Francisco Airport
The San Francisco
International Airport (SFO) is about 40-60 minutes away from the
Convention, however some people might find the flights more convenient going
through this airport.
***Be aware that SFO can have weather delays, particularly for fog.
Yes, in June. If this happens, there might be long delays.*** (SJC
almost never has weather delays...)
If going to SFO, you will have to make your own way to the
hotel. The hotel does not have an airport shuttle to SFO and CBS will
not be making pickups at SFO.
Taxi fare is approximately $95-115 from SFO to the hotel. (The
price goes up during our commute hours because of the length of time on the
road.)
Supershuttle, a shared ride van, costs approximately $40 one person ($20
each additional person), but keep in mind that the shuttle takes other
people as well and the ride to the hotel can be well over an hour by the
time all the other people on the shuttle are dropped off.
If you plan on renting a car, parking at the Embassy Suites is free.
More information on transportation and direction can be found on
the hotel page.
Oakland Airport
The Oakland International Airport (OAK) is about 40-60 minutes away from the
Convention.
If you are going through OAK, you will have to make your own way to the
hotel. The hotel does not have an airport shuttle to OAK and CBS will
not be making pickups at OAK.
Taxi fare is approximately $120-160 from OAK to the hotel. (The
price goes up during our commute hours because of the length of time on the
